Opanin Akwasi Addae
Opanin Akwasi Addae’s mission is to create opportunities for disadvantaged children.
Life however took a curved road in accomplishing this mission. Opanin’s mother died when he was eight years old. As a young man Opanin Addae travelled to the USA, lived and worked there, got married and had three children (who are grown up by now).
Later in life Opanin Addae decided to return to Ghana and help the people and children of his hometown village after being helped by so many people himself. He started a construction company so he could have the Bioh school and orphanage built. Chief Nana Obiri Yeboah and other residents donated land for the project. Classes are run since 2013.
Bioh Memorial Children's Village wants to cater two hundred children of which Opanin Addae and his co-founder Mr Fred Seng take responsibility for the initial intake of forty children. Currently fifteen children are being sponsored already, living with other families waiting for the moment to move into the two stories and eight bedrooms building as soon as it is furnished (November 2016)
Opanin Addae is blessed with two sons and one beautiful daughter, Opanin Kofi, Nana Kwasi and Maame Yaa Bioh. Behind this man and his great dream lives a legacy that will make this orphanage and school continue for as long as it is needed. With your help!
